Description:

Early 18thC walnut George I bureau. The bureau is figured walnut veneered onto pine with oak drawer linings, the flap and drawer fronts are edged with herring-bone inlay. An iteresting feature is the bookrest on the bureau flap. The interior has a central door, two drawers and eight pigeon- holes

Condition:

The bureau is a good original colour and has original feet and handles (all bar one loop ). The left side gable end of the desk has been wormed in the past.
