Description:   Late 17th century table clock from this well known family of clockmakers. Ebony case with gilt mounts.
Movement ¼ repeating on 3 bells repeat cord to both sides of the case. Fully engraved backplate and orignal verge escapement.
Dial with herringbone border, alarm, calendar and strike/silent control. Movement and dial both signed by the maker.
Provenance:   Abraham Fromanteel, son of the renowned Ahasuerus, apprenticed 1662, Clockmakers Company 1680 - 1711.
Condition:   Fully overhauled and guaranteed.
