Set of Six Victorian Hepplewhite Chairs ca 1890
This beautiful set of six antique Victorian mahogany Hepplewhite style dining chairs have the makers stamp S.B. The chairs have shield shaped backs with beautiful splayed back splats, bow fronts, splayed back legs, tapering front legs and H stretchers for added stability. The chairs have a few old repairs due to age and use, are upholstered cream/oatmeal fabric, are a rich red mahogany colour with a striking grain, good patina, are in very good condition and have been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
