Description:
|
A good Regency figured mahogany & rosewood cross banded sofa table, retaining good colour and patina. The rounded rectangular top laid with well figured veneers and bordered by box strung rosewood cross banding. The frieze two opening rosewood banded, cock beaded drawers fitted with brass knob handles with adjacent inset rosewood panels. The opposing side has two dummy drawers. The table is supported by tapering, ebony strung rectangular section end supports, joined by a turned mid-height stretcher over swept legs terminating in unusual lions head castors. A compact and good looking sofa table of only 25" depth.
