A fine George I walnut longcase clock by William Sellers, London. The 8 day, five finned pillar (centre latched) inside count wheel bell-striking movement with 12" brass break-arch dial with silvered subsidiary seconds dial, ringed winding holes and border engraved calendar aperture to the matted centre, within an applied silvered Roman numeral chapter ring with stylised sword hilt half hour markers, Arabic five minutes and signed William Selleirs, London to lower edge. The case of superb original colour with moulded cornice and foliate pierced frets over integral pilasters to hood above break-arch trunk door and cross-banded base with double plinth. Both trunk door and plinth with very well figured walnut veneer.
